Tama Tū Tama Ora

‘Tama’ means man, boy or son. ‘Tū’ means to stand, rise up, to stop (reflect), to set in place and to establish. ‘Ora’ means health, life & well-being. The phrase ‘Tama Tū, Tama Ora’, therefore is a call to a generation of men to rise up and take their place in order to move forward into the future of hope, life and well-being (for them & their whanau).
