In regards to the programme: an event consisting of two or more simultaneous lines (stories of our young people) of independent melodies coming in together to create a harmony.
Polyphony are projects that enable young people in the community to have a voice through the arts (photography, poetry, graphics, poetry, spoken word and song).
We’ve teamed up with the Christchurch City Council, Papanui Library, local schools and youth agencies to bring Polyphony back to youth week this year.
This year, young people are submitting art pieces that allows them to express their thoughts on the theme ‘Be Who You Want To Be’. All of the art pieces will be placed on the windows of the Papanui Library for the next 12 months.
The public are invited to the Polyphony Exhibition on Monday 21 May (more details below) to hear the young people share their art pieces for the first and only time.
