We are able to offer a limited amount of mentoring places to Māori and Pacific Island young people who require additional support to manage their life skills issues.
Group Mentoring is offered through our in-school programmes (Mana Wahine, Tama Tū Tama Ora) with referrals managed by the schools and our after-schools programmes (Monday Night Clubs, Ori Ori Tinana, Te Pihi Ora, Ngā Toa, Whakapakari) with referrals managed through the Youth Work Team and/or the Social Work Manager.
A psychosocial wellbeing and resilience programme utilising Boxfit/Crossfit programmes, to increase the physical, emotional, spiritual and mental wellbeing of young people, based on Te Whare Tapa Whā model of wellbeing. This programme currently runs in specified schools on the east side of Christchurch as a concentrated response to young people who have been affected by the Canterbury and Christchurch earthquakes.
