Wrap Around SW

Wrap Around social work is provided by the Hapori team with referrals through the Kaiārahi Hapori (Team Leader) who is a registered social worker. It exists to ensure all whānau and young people involved in Te Ora Hou programmes and TKW are linked into appropriate support services to empower, educate and advocate for their particular needs, supported by a Hapori team member.

Social Work supports provided are:

• Youth Work Mentoring with a trained Community/Youth Worker
• Whānau Ora support with a Community/Social Worker
  • Whānau transformation and empowerment
• Youth Justice support for young people/whānau navigating FGC, Youth Court and Rangatahi Court systems
• Financial support: Work and Income, IRD, Youth Services (Youth and Young Parents benefit), and budgeting
• Advocacy support for psychosocial issues that affect Māori rangatahi and their whānau including:
  • Counselling services
  • Health services
  • Education/training
  • Housing
