Koha

As a registered charity (CC22902) we are reliant on donations to enable us to offer our services.

Having grown over the last 40 years from a volunteer run grassroots organisation to today’s professional team of 40 full time staff committed to supporting young people to the very best of our ability, we have significant operating costs. We’ve proved that we can do great things and make a real difference in our community.

To keep supporting our community, and keep growing as an organisation, we need your help.

By becoming a regular donor, your monthly or quarterly donation will help ensure we have the cashflow to support our mahi with confidence on an ongoing basis.

Phone Rebecca Phillips at 03 352 1057 to talk through your options for setting up a regular donation.

Business Partnerships

Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi is actively seeking local businesses to partner with as part of our Business Club. We are committed to working together with local businesses to strengthen our communities.

By partnering with us, you will be helping to improve outcomes for rangatahi (young people) and their whānau in our community.

There are a number of ways you can partner with us:

Philanthropic Giving – make a regular monthly or annual donation (bonus: donations to Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi are tax deductible!)

Payroll Giving – offer your employees the opportunity to feel they’re giving back to a great cause before their pay even hits the bank account

In Kind – contribute goods or services to help us offset our operating costs. We’re always working on new and exciting projects and events.

Volunteering – want to share your passion for youth development with your staff? We’re always looking for volunteers to help us run our programmes.

Sponsorship – let’s talk about joining forces to promote our shared goals.

Fundraising on Behalf – you might like to host your own fundraiser with the proceeds going to Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi. Get in touch and let’s get planning!

Benefits

As a Business Club member, you will get the opportunity to learn more and be involved in our kaupapa, helping our most precious taonga, our rangatahi, to navigate the challenging journey from tamariki tū rangatahi tū rangatira (childhood into adulthood).

In return, Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi will commit to promoting our partnership by proudly displaying your business logo on our website, giving you exposure on our social media channels, and giving recognition in our communications.

Bequests

Leaving a gift in your Will is a special and lasting way to support many generations of Ōtautahi rangatahi on their life’s journey.

We are grateful for every gift we receive, whether it is a specific sum or a small percentage of whatever is left once you have thought about those close to you. If you are considering, or have left, a gift in your Will to Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi, letting us know your intent to do so allows us to plan ahead and ensures we can acknowledge your generous support during your lifetime.

If you already have a Will, the wording below will help your legal advisor prepare a codicil to reflect any changes you wish to make. The same wording can be incorporated into your bequest clause if you are writing a Will for the first time.

Codicil/Bequest Clause Wording

“I give to Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi Incorporated the sum of $….. (or a percentage, or the residue of my Estate, or a description of the property or asset given) for the general purposes of Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi (or a stipulated purpose) and declare that the receipt of Te Ora Hou Ōtautahi will be a full discharge to my trustee”.

NZ Registered Charity Number: CC22902
