Holiday Programme a Huge Success
On the first week of the school holidays, young people from multiple youth programmes that we deliver (through the school terms), combined for an all-in 3-day holiday programme out at Spencerville – and what fun was had.
Across the three days, the rangatahi played a variety of games, took part in team building exercises, challenged themselves with the Adrenaline Forest courses, learnt and sang a few waiata, ate and drank a whole lot and even got to relax in the soothing hot pools down in New Brighton.
Our holiday programmes are pretty special, especially our overnighters – they create a space for whanaungatanga, building connections and strengthening relationships with our young people and our leaders, which naturally comes across into the programmes that we connect with them in when schools are up and running.
We’ve got such an awesome crew this year! And we’re looking forward to journeying with them for the big events we’ve got planned for them this year. How exciting!
